ChannelPeek is a free channel guide. You can browse it without an account. This page explains what is stored if you sign in, what your browser shares when you visit, and how to delete it.
Who is responsible
ChannelPeek is run by its operator, an individual. For any question about your data, write to miarroba@gmail.com.
What we store
If you only browse: no account and no personal profile. We keep anonymous, aggregated counts of visits and plays per channel and per day, with nothing that identifies you.
If you sign in with Google:
From Google: your account ID, email address (verified), name, profile photo and language. We never receive your password.
Your preferences: country, language and technical mode.
What you do while signed in: your favorites, your Continue watching positions, which channels you start playing (with the date and whether it went direct or through our relay) and the channel screenshots you send from your browser.
Your sessions: a random token (we keep only its hash), the IP address and the browser identification of each session, for security.
We use this only to run your account and your lists, to protect the site against abuse, and to see which channels are used. It is never sold, shared for advertising or used to profile you. The operator can see an account’s details and activity from an administration panel, to help you, to delete the account on request and to block abusive accounts.
Cookies and local storage
Only what the site needs to work and to remember your choices. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner.
cp_sid — your signed-in session (30 days, not readable by scripts).
iptv_lang, iptv_ctry, iptv_tech, iptv_list, iptv_filters — language, country, technical mode and filters (up to 1 year).
iptv-theme, iptv-ctry, iptv-tour — theme, country and the guided tour, in your browser’s local storage.
Other services
To load a page, your browser contacts these services, which therefore see your IP address and browser details:
Google — to sign in (accounts.google.com) and for the typeface (fonts.googleapis.com).
Cloudflare cdnjs — for the icons (cdnjs.cloudflare.com).
Video.js — for the video player (vjs.zencdn.net).
Anonymous audience statistics from the operator’s own service (analytics.on6.com): pages viewed, referrer, browser and approximate country. They use no cookies and no account data.
The channel provider: when you play a channel, the video comes from the provider’s servers, either straight to your browser or through our relay, so the provider can see the address that requests it.
How long we keep it
Sessions: up to 30 days; expired ones are deleted automatically.
Account, favorites, Continue watching, plays and sent screenshots: until you delete your account.
Server logs with IP addresses (needed to run and secure the site) and rate-limit counters: a short time, then they are overwritten or deleted.
Your rights
You can delete your account and everything linked to it at any time from your account page (“Delete my account”). A screenshot that was already applied as the current image of a channel belongs to the channel, not to you, and stays without any link to your account.
You can also ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it or object to its use by writing to miarroba@gmail.com. If you are in the EU, you can complain to your data protection authority (in Spain, the AEPD).
